It's remarkable, the way nature learns to adapt to save itself from everything that seeks to destroy it. Humans, mostly. Who see its resilience but not the neglect that creates storms of devastation that we don’t recognize as aching. As if raindrops aren't tears. As if fire isn’t rage.

And I hope this magical fungus can absorb the toxins without destroying itself.
